Motion To FileMotion To File™
A two-sided, verified attorney marketplace

Attorney review, on demand — for the people who need it and the attorneys who provide it.

Motion To File connects people with AI-generated drafts to vetted U.S. attorneys who review, redline, and (optionally) file on their behalf. Clients get a real attorney's eyes before they file. Attorneys earn on a schedule that fits their practice.

Free to apply. Existing accounts can be certified as Attorney without affecting your client-side subscription.

For clients & self-filers

Hand off your draft to a real, licensed attorney.

Vetted, bar-verified attorneys
Every attorney is bar-verified in the states they serve, KYC'd, and onboarded through Stripe Connect before they can accept a single matter.
24–72 hour turnaround
Pick an attorney, hand off your draft, and get a written redline back in 24–72 hours. No phone tag, no consultation fees just to get a quote.
Free directory, no platform fees
Listing on the Motion To File attorney directory is free. Clients connect with attorneys through on-platform consultation requests — Motion To File does not collect a fee on communications or engagements arranged through the directory.

For attorneys

Get paid to review legal documents on your schedule.

Flexible schedule
Toggle "accepting work" on and off, claim only the matters that fit your week, and walk away whenever you need to.
Free listing, keep 100%
Listing is free. Motion To File does not take a cut of fees you charge clients you connect with through the platform — any engagement is directly between you and the client.
Choose your jurisdictions
You set the states you're licensed in, the document types you'll review, and whether you offer optional court filing — we only surface matters that match.

How it works

  1. 1. Client picks an attorney

Browse the directory, sorted by region and reviews, and book the attorney that fits your matter.

  2. 2. Attorney claims the work

Open requests appear in the attorney's dashboard, filtered to their licensed states and document types.

  3. 3. Review & (optional) filing

The attorney delivers a written redline and, if offered, files the finished document on your behalf.

  4. 4. Payment releases

When the client accepts the deliverable, funds release to the attorney's Stripe Connect account.
