Risk Disclosure Statement

Read this carefully before using any document generated by Motion To File.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Motion To File, a product of Alpha-Omega Industries, LLC(Indio, California) ("MTF"), is an AI-assisted drafting platform. Use of the Service involves material risks that you must understand and accept before generating, downloading, filing, or relying on any output. This Risk Disclosure Statement is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions.

1. AI-generated content can be wrong

Large-language models produce text that is statistically plausible but not independently verified. Outputs may contain factual errors, mis-stated legal standards, outdated authority, fabricated ("hallucinated") citations, incorrect party names, or inappropriate procedural posture. Every output must be reviewed and independently verified by a licensed attorney before it is filed, served, or executed.

2. No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship

MTF is not a law firm. Nothing produced by the Service is legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not confer attorney-client privilege over your communications with MTF. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney admitted in the relevant jurisdiction.

3. Risks of filing without attorney review

  • Court sanctions for filings that contain non-existent citations, frivolous arguments, or that violate local rules.
  • Adverse rulings, including dismissal with prejudice, default judgment, or denial of substantive relief.
  • Waiver of arguments or defenses not properly preserved in the working draft.
  • Missed deadlines — MTF does not calendar, track, or remind you of statutes of limitations, filing deadlines, or service requirements.
  • Procedural defaults due to incorrect captions, signature blocks, certificates of service, or filing methods.

4. Risks for licensed attorneys

  • Professional-responsibility risk if outputs are filed without independent verification. ABA Model Rule 1.1 (competence), 1.3 (diligence), 3.3 (candor to the tribunal), and 5.3 (responsibilities for non-lawyer assistance) apply to AI-assisted work product.
  • Confidentiality risk if matter data is entered into systems whose data-handling practices have not been vetted. We disclose our practices in our Privacy Policy, but you remain responsible for compliance with Model Rule 1.6 and applicable state analogs.
  • Billing risk if AI-assisted work is billed at rates or in ways inconsistent with your fee agreement or jurisdictional rules.
  • Court-specific AI disclosure orders: a growing number of judges require disclosure or certification when AI is used to draft a filing. It is your responsibility to comply.

5. Risks for self-represented litigants

If you are not a lawyer, you should understand that drafting and filing a legal document is a complex activity. MTF produces a structured starting draft, but it cannot evaluate the strength of your case, identify all claims or defenses available to you, predict outcomes, advise you on settlement, or appear on your behalf. We strongly encourage you to consult a licensed attorney — many jurisdictions have legal aid organizations, bar referral services, or low-cost clinics.

6. Jurisdictional and rule-coverage limits

Local-rule compliance checking is in beta and is limited to participating courts. Templates do not cover every court, agency, tribunal, or procedural posture. Outputs may not satisfy local formatting requirements, filing-fee schedules, or e-filing portal requirements. Verify all such requirements with the clerk of the relevant court.

7. Security risks

Despite strong technical safeguards, no online service is immune from data-security incidents. Do not transmit information through the Service that you are unwilling to accept the residual risk of disclosure for.

8. No guarantee of outcome

MTF makes no representation, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of any matter, motion, negotiation, or transaction in which a Service output is used. Past performance of the Service in any individual matter is not indicative of future results.

9. Acceptance of risk

By generating or downloading any document from MTF, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the risks described above and agree to use the Service accordingly.
